**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Build truss orders as per standard operating procedures or as dictated by the Truss Shop Supervisor.
- Stack, count and label trusses in correct order
- Prior to building, scrutinized and thoroughly understand the truss design layouts
- Inspect and/or measure precut lumber for proper length and possible damage or other irregularities associated with quality control and standard operating procedures.
- Thorough and complete organization of tools, materials, workstation and cleaning and/or disposal of wastage.
- Regular inspection and maintenance as required for tools and machinery and report any problems or irregularities immediately to the Branch Manager.
- Adhere to safe work practices while doing routine lifting, repetitive hammering motions and getting up and down off the jigs.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience with hand tools including nail guns, staple guns and skill saws.
- Ability to lift heavy.
- Understanding of grading & quality of lumber an asset
- Experience in using power tools, sawing equipment specifically an asset
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a noisy atmosphere
- Construction knowledge an asset

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Exposure to dust and saw-dust, dirt and extreme changes in temperature and weather.
- Moderate exposure to personal risk; safety boots are required.
