Location: Kitchener, Ontario

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a dedicated Production Technician to join our growing team. Your primary responsibilities will include executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assemble and perform quality control on micro-assemblies. High precision while working with small parts will be crucial for this role.

Specific responsibilities of this role:

- Follow SOPs to cut and QC optical fibers and cartridge assemblies
- Glue fibers into ferrules with precision
- Inspect fiber ferrule assemblies using a microscope
- Integrate fiber ferrule assemblies into a top plate
- Coating top plate and PCB components using spray robot
- Fabricate cartridges using a glue robot
- Track inventory and quality data in systems Work in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and cleanroom protocols
- About You:
You are highly organized and focused in your work, and you have a strong ability to execute processes systematically. You are self-motivated and able to work on your own to meet production targets. You are passionate about continuous improvements in quality and efficiency to help improve production processes. You thrive in a small team environment and are excited about a career in a growing technology company
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow SOPs accurately
- Skilled with fine motor tasks and precise work
- Self-motivated, able to work independently
- Meticulous in nature, especially while performing repetitive tasks
- Organized and dedicated to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace

Bonus points if you have experience with:

- Optic fibers
- Background in high-volume production with tight mechanical tolerances
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
