Join Ledcor’s Highway Maintenance Team - Pavement Marking Opportunities

Ledcor Highway Maintenance is now hiring Paint Truck operators with strong leadership skills and a safety-first mindset to support our highway maintenance team in the greater Edmonton area.

Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, organization, and teamwork will contribute to the success of our crews and the safety of the traveling public. In this role, you’ll support the Foreperson and work alongside our highway maintenance teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Support the Foreperson in organizing daily work programs and accurately forecasting needs and requirements
- Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Operate equipment on highways and work sites safely and efficiently
- Lead by example, consistently upholding Ledcor’s core values: safety, quality, integrity, sustainability, and success
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a strong and efficient crew
- Ensure prompt response to health, safety, and environmental concerns
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate necessary maintenance with supervisors and equipment managers
- Perform minor equipment maintenance in-house and escalate larger repair needs as required

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of paint truck operations, loading procedures, and maintenance
- Valid Class 5, 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous supervisory experience in a related field
- Computer skills are an asset
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

- Travel, shift work, on-call availability, and night shifts required during operating months
