The Jessie Home Program Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for managing the administrative tasks for the overall functioning of the program. This position assists with communication flow internally and externally and ensures the smooth operation of the Jessie Home administrative activities and function for that program.
- Key Areas of Responsibility_
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Assist with staff recruitment and selection process with Executive Director
- Direct supervision of program staff
- Prepare scheduling for full, part time and casual program staff
- Identify and assist with professional development opportunities for staff
- Facilitate resident specific (i.e. intake, discharge, IPP) meetings with social workers and others as required
- Oversee program staff for adherence to and compliance with Jessie Home policies and procedures as well as provincial licensing guidelinesFINANCIAL
- Contact with government and agency personnel regarding various administrative issues specific to the program
- Participate in meetings as required for increased communication between staff and program expectations
- Direct reporting to the Executive Director on all administrative matters
RECORD KEEPING, DOCUMENTATION & INFORMATION FLOW
- Maintain all records and documents for the program and ensure that all information is current and that it is shared with the Executive Director as applicable
- Keep paperwork and digital records organized and filed
- Ensure new staff receive orientation according to the Child and Family Services Standards regulations.
- Works with the Executive Director to identify and meet training needs
- Schedule Independent Treatment Plan meetings for all youth within the first 30 days of placement and quarterly thereafter
- On call 24/7 for issues with staff, program or clients unless otherwise arranged
- Submit youth attendance statistics to head officePROPERTY AND ASSETS
- Ensure the physical upkeep of the facility, house, furnishings, yard and
- equipment
- Responsible for maintenance/upkeep of program vehicles
- Report issues related to property, vehicles, or other assets such as furniture/appliances to the Executive Director
- **Minimum 3 years experience in a management role or combined education/experience in a leadership role in youth care**:
- **Current up to date Criminal Record Check/Child Abuse Registry (within past 3 months)**:
- **Valid First Aid/CPR**:
- **Valid Drivers Licence**
