Staff Product Manager, Snyk Open Source

Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure. **_ All roles listed as 'remote' are available as remote within the same country._**: **Overview**: We're looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to help drive the direction of Snyk Open Source and the way developer-first security products, features and integrations are built by Snyk and our community of customers, partners and developers. In this role, you'll help define and execute on the product strategy for Snyk Open Source including working on roadmap and KPIs for Snyk Open Source and in particular around the developer experience and ensuring developer success with our products. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we'd love to hear from you **You'll spend your time**: - Being a product leader for Open Source, driving direction and ensuring experiences oriented around developers and their needs - Mentoring and coaching other product managers around both practice of Product management and the personas we are targeting - Collaboratively supporting crafting and communicating a roadmap for the aspects of Open Source you own, including strategy for your area of ownership - Embracing being a community advocate for Open Source and tracking community trends - Researching and understanding market trends, and assessing market opportunities, addressable markets and building business cases - Carrying out ongoing customer and prospective customer conversations to acquire a deep understanding of their needs and pain points, identifying new opportunities for Snyk - Partnering with the User Research and User Experience teams to facilitate using best practices to develop and evolving the Snyk Open Source product - Defining feature requirements, collaborating with relevant stakeholders including engineering, marketing and others for successful end-to-end delivery and launch of capabilities - Partnering with your engineering counterpart to understand technical details and make business decisions on prioritization and positioning As a company we are distributed across four offices in London, Tel Aviv, Boston and Ottawa, with 10% of the company working fully-remote. We've made an organizational commitment to building a strong, effective, distributed company: we form teams across multiple offices wherever possible, and we invest in communication so that we can benefit from each others' perspectives. As well as an always-on webcam so we can see what's happening in each office, we make heavy use of video calls, Slack, and some inter-office travel. - Have experience working with developer-oriented workflows/products and appreciate their needs. - Enjoy working in a fast-paced, empowered, distributed environment that respects the team, our customers, and our partners. - Make good product decisions in an incomplete business context of cost, value, risk, and opportunity. - Work collaboratively, communicate proactively, take a team-first mind-set, and skillfully give and receive difficult feedback when necessary - Have a proven track record of delivering SaaS products to market from business case through to GTM and successful customer adoption - Are customer obsessed Have in-depth understanding of how successful developer/user experience are defined and have a passion for understanding developers - their capabilities, needs, and how they work - Have a keen ability to synthesize a mass of data including market research, user feedback and asks, industry standards and general trends and then translating this into experience strategy and roadmap - Are comfortable influencing and leading with a wide range of different internal stakeholders, from internal engineers to executives - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and enjoy helping others to learn new things **We'd especially love to hear from you if you**: - are excited by Snyk's mission, open-source, or developer tools - have experience as a product manager working in both technical and go-to-market product roles - have experience in the developer-tooling or cyber security space **Tech Stack**: Our current stack consists of: NodeJS, JavaScript, Vue.js, TypeScript, jQuery, Express, Postgresql, SQL, Sass, BEM, C
