DESCRIPTION

The **Overhead Door Technician Apprentice **role, opens the door to a career as an Overhead Door Technician, which is the heart and soul of the OHD team. As an apprentice, OHD certified technicians will provide on the job progressive training and experience to set you up for success. You will learn the ins and outs of residential and commercials installations, along with receiving all the required certifications; First Aid, Forklift, fit testing, fall protection, scissor/boom lift. Focusing on safety first, OHD ensures each apprentice is equipped to uphold our legacy and grow into a certified technician role.

This role works closely with the other technicians and reports directly to the Install Supervisor, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm, plus potential of overtime.

PLEASE NOTE: NO experience is required for this full time position.

QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires a high level of focus on safety and solutions, adaptability, and a positive “can-do” attitude, as well as:

- Customer service focus
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Mechanical & electrical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Self-directed time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task in an often high-pressure environment
- Valid BC Drivers license and clean abstract

NICE TO HAVES
- Familiarity with the construction industry an asset
- Training in any of the areas listed above

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
