The Student Centre, part of the Education Department at St. Michael’s Hospital is currently seeking a highly organized, detailed and results-oriented individual to help support a superior student experience for all learners.

The Student Centre’s mission is to enhance the quality of the student experience by ensuring that all students receive uniform, relevant and effective resources and services within a multipurpose, inter-professional centre. The Student Centre is a welcoming environment that supports all student types including: Health Disciplines, Nursing, Medicine (undergraduate and postgraduate), and Administrative & Operational.

The main responsibility of this role is to organize, implement curriculum and coordinate activities and programs for undergraduate medical students within the FitzGerald Academy. This role specifically involves some of, but not limited to the following tasks:

- Collaboratively liaises with internal and external stakeholders to support student programming, student curricular events and student coordination.
- Ensures curricular delivery for FitzGerald Academy medical students. Tasks include but are not limited to: tutor/patient recruitment and tracking, schedule creation/management and evaluation management
- Schedules, prepares meeting rooms and communicates meeting details for students and tutors.
- Coordinates and tracks elective learners and preceptor assignments.
- Supports the collection, analysis and distribution of student & education data/metrics. Examples of data could include but is not limited to: student survey data, compliance of mandatory prerequisites, pagers, and Medical Trainee Days.
- Creates, collates, maintains and provides technical support of shared electronic database(s) e.g. the registration system, excel databases
- Collaborates with and supports other Education portfolio staff and team members to provide additional student services.
- Provides excellent customer service while registering, validating and troubleshooting all student placements in person, electronically and within the registration system.
- Supports other tasks and projects as needed within the Unity Health Toronto Education portfolio.

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate Degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of practical experience required in a student environment e.g. university/college, student support services, academic training hospital/medical education department or transferrable skill set.
- Experience working in a health care environment strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation with proven ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent initiative, decision making/problem solving skills and interpersonal competence.
- Strong computer skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience planning and coordinating events.
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the Mission and Values of Unity Health Toronto.
- Excellent attendance record.
