Compensation is base salary. We also offer paid vacation time, sick/personal days and fully paid benefits after 3 months’ probation (Life, Accidental Death & Disability, Short and Long-Term Disability, Extended Health, Dental, Employee Assistance Program and RRSP Program with company matching your contributions, up to 3% of your salary).

**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager - PTLW, the Proposal Writer will work with other departments to scope, co-ordinate, prepare and submit proposals for Safe Fleet products to existing and prospective clients. You are a team player, thorough, accurate, and an exceptional writer that can network and gather technical information and integrate this information into a standard proposal template that reflects the client’s requirements and/or client-established policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**

- With high attention to detail you will Analyze and assess Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) to determine suitability of opportunity to Safe Fleet.
- Coordinate proposal kickoff (Go/NoGo) meeting - prepare proposal summary, timeline/schedule, requirements outline, and compliance matrix for discussion on proposal opportunity. Invite internal stakeholders.
- Consider value propositions, strengths, risk and risk reducers, and differentiated solutions when formulating a bid strategy and create an initial proposal outline.
- Proposal content writing and proof reading.
- Ensure that final proposal document hard and soft copy production is planned to meet internal deadlines and that other departments are contacted and managed through to successful delivery.
- Maintain, augment and improve library of reusable content, components, templates, and bid related processes to reduce response time and improve quality of future bids.
- Willing to occasionally work outside regular business hours to meet bid deadline requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent writing, grammar and spelling skills and ability to write and edit Executive Summaries, Company Profiles, and other technically oriented content.
- Distill potentially complex material into compelling business arguments in a clear, succinct manner.
- Excellent organization skills and work planning and proven attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure, in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment.
- Ability to form robust working relationships quickly.
- Excellent proactive problem and issue management skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office and Project, Adobe or Foxit skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven written/oral communication and influencing skills.
- Some technical background in software and hardware is a definite asset.
- Enthusiastic and takes initiative. Self-starter.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
