**Job Title**:Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator

**Location**: Hamilton, ON

**Major Intersection**: Barton St and Glover Rd

**Pay Rate**: $18.50 an hour

**Shift Timings**: Afternoon Shift (3:00 pm - 1:00 am)

Training is in the Morning Shift (6:00am - 3:30pm)

2 x 15 minutes paid Breaks & a 30 minute unpaid break.

**Shift Days**: Monday
- Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing mold equipment and overseeing smooth operations for shift.
- Starts machine that automatically liquefies plastic material in heating chamber, injects liquefied material into mold, and ejects molded product.
- Examines molded products for surface defects, such as dents, bubbles, thin areas, and cracks.
- Quality check each part and report defects.
- Must monitor equipment for malfunctions and eliminating threats to production.
- Must communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair.
- Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards.
- Housekeeping and end of day clean up.

**Job Requirements**
- Molding industry experience preferred.
- Some managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of required molding machinery and tools.
- Work Permit, citizens, PRs preferred.
- Training will be provided by the employer in the morning shift.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- plastics extrusion: 1 year (required)
- operating Plastic Injection Molding Machine: 1 year (required)
- molding industry: 1 year (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Hamilton, ON (required)
