At Little Hands at Play we seeking a lead RECE who will be responsible for teaching in a classroom through the Ministry of Education and Public Health requirements.

Duties include:
Teaching in and managing a classroom through positive and engaging strategies. (must love love children)

Reviewing and implementing programming to ensure that the centre meets all the requirements of licensing from the Ministry of Education including academic and operational requirements. Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioural problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Assisting in the building of a strong relationship with parents and the community.

Completing classroom management tools including checklists and logs a respond to the Hi Mama App.

Plan and develop program webs in line with children’s interests. Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities.

Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms.

Manage and maintain an orderly classroom.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
- Strong problem-solving skills

**Skills and Qualification**
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators Minimum
- 1-year experience in the licensed childcare field
- Experience in capacity or classroom leadership capacity
- Have a recent Police Records Check (V.S.S) or willing to obtain
- Must complete Medical checklist
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (preferred)
- Ability to lift children up to the age of 5

**Salary**: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
