Behavioral Specialist/cyw/ Dsw/ea

Lawlor Therapy Support Services Inc. is seeking dynamic, positive, and creative Child and Youth Workers, Behavioral Specialists, Developmental Support Workers, Educational Assistants, or those with a degree/diploma in a related field or currently enrolled in a related program to join our team.

Our Behavior Intervention Workers/Academic Remediation Specialists extend their expertise to provide essential support for at-risk youth and those with severe behavioral issues. We collaborate with a team of social and well-being professionals, under the guidance of a Psychotherapist, to implement strategies aimed at reducing problematic behaviors and fostering a positive adult influence.
- Deliver services in a one-to-one contract to children with exceptionalities to support integration in the home and community.
- Work with a variety of disabilities including cognitive, physical, highly behavioural, psychosocial, mental illness and addictions.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams (Psychotherapist, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, psychology) to implement and carry over treatment recommendations.
- Work with community providers (Child Wellness Workers and academic professionals) to optimize outcome for the child.
- Provide weekly, professional well-written status updates on each client for the team.

**Requirements**:

- Education as specified above
- Experience working with at-risk children/behavior issues.
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Training in Safe Management/UMAB/CPI
- Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening
