**Human Resources Business Partner**
Reporting to the Executive Director, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to align business objectives with employee and management needs.
**Responsibilities**:
**Business partnership**:
- Partner with the business units to assess short and long-term business needs and provide strategic HR support to meet operational business requirements.
- Support leaders with effective and efficient management of employees.
- Consult with senior leadership on an ongoing basis to determine evolving human resource requirements and assist with the development and implementation of responsive, effective and forward-looking human resource strategies.
- Provide input on business restructuring, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
- Use judgement and human resource acumen to escalate matters as required.
**Employee Relations**:
- Work closely with leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, training & development, and employee engagement.
- Use change management best practices to guide leaders and employees through organizational change.
- Develop and review human resource policies, procedures, and documentation in consultation with senior leaders.
- Explore and recommend innovative and creative approaches to resolving employee issues and concerns.
- Facilitate communication and conflict resolution including conducting internal employee investigations as required.
**Compliance**:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current legislation relating to employment law, WSIB, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code to ensure regulatory compliance in Ontario for hybrid and on-site employees.
- Develop relevant knowledge of applicable laws and best practices for managing remote employees in the United States.
- Provide support and consultation to business units around applicable laws, ensuring that OS&B remains legally compliant in its people practices.
**Required skills and experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources Business Partner role, ideally in a related industry
- CHRL certification is preferred
- Superior planning and organization skills
- Track record of interacting with all levels of the organization with consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing/negotiating skills
- Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to manage sensitive information
- Knowledge of change management principles
- Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Human Resources Information Systems
- In-depth knowledge of current legislations relating to employment standards to the capacity of providing counsel including but not exclusive of: Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workers' Compensation Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, etc. in Canada and the United States.
- Able to travel to other facilities on a regular basis
**Salary**: $58,042.92-$75,000.00 per year
