General Operations Labourers

The General Operations Laborer will assist in all aspects of outdoor operations of Kinosoo Ridge Resort.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assist lift operators in running lifts, checking tickets, and performing crowd control during peak times
- Assist with daily lift maintenance and operations checks
- Maintenance of grounds, buildings, and other related infrastructure
- Assist in snowmaking and grooming processes
- Assist with the planning and execution of site improvements
- Assist with planning and setup for special events
- Perform general labour duties
- Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Perform light duty equipment maintenance
- Respond to guest questions or concerns as required
- Assist with daily tube park setup and teardown
- Act in designated roles during emergency situations
- Understand all emergency procedures and protocols
- Participate and abide in the M.D./KRR’s Health and Safety Program
- Recognize, document, and report hazards (current or potential) to the operations team and assist in the removal/corrective action required.
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required

**Qualifications**:

- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate equipment including, a bobcat, tractor, snowmobiles, quads, UTV’s, snow cat, and snow guns
- Practice the safe use of a wide array of hand tools and power tools
- Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience in a customer service role will be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience operating ski lift equipment will be considered an asset
- Carpentry, plumbing, and electrical experience will be considered an asset
- Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
- Have a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to assess pressure situations and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ongoing commitment to safety
- Confined space, fall arrest, ATV/UTV, first aid, and other related safety tickets will be considered an asset
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Obtain a full Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check
- Required to work on weekdays, weekends, and some evenings
