**Trackwork Co-Op**

This position would be good for a flexible and dynamic person looking for an introduction to Trackwork Engineering, primarily in the urban mass transit realm. Experience is not necessary. We will train for the right attitude. Although some type of interest or previous experience in Trackwork would be a strong asset. The successful applicant will become a member of the SNC-Lavalin Rail and Transit team and will participate in the design and construction support engineering of light and heavy rail projects both within Canada and around the world.

**Your role within the team**:

- Development, optimization, and / or evaluation of railway alignment and track layouts Development & evaluation of track structures
- Preparation of Design documentation (reports, calculation, drawings, etc.) Quantity Take-Offs
- Interdisciplinary Design Coordination
- Authoring of Technical Specifications
- Checking of supplier shop drawings and technical submittals
- Preparing and Processing of design and construction communications (RFI’s, NCR’s, CAR’s, etc.)
- Field inspection and measuring
- Participation in the installation & testing of new components on an operating LRT system.

- Civil Engineering Student in third or fourth year of studies Functional competence in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
