Canada Pump and Power is expanding We have an exciting new opportunity for a **Telematics Solutions Specialist** This individual will be experienced working with telematics. They are hands on tech savvy, competent and experienced working with electrical components, and is willing to work both inside a shop environment and outside in the elements connecting asset tracking devices to equipment. This person has great interpersonal skills who loves to take care of their customers.
The Telematics Solutions Professional will build the department through sales development in the Fort McMurray region. This is a growth-oriented sales and customer relations focused position with a strong technical ability to troubleshoot and manage client needs. They will develop and maintain relationships supporting and generating GeoForce sales with customers, provide technical support to stakeholders while growing sales and expanding market share in accordance with company goals and objectives. They will be responsible for the entire process including lead generation, customer presentations, bid and proposal development, planning the rollout, coordination with clients, execution of installations, and troubleshooting and support.
**Accountabilities**:
- Follow company processes and company Safe Work Procedures and Practices
- Work within Company, Customer, and other existing standards and regulations pertaining to their scope of work
- Report and rectify potential hazards, accidents, and near misses
- Perform Field Level Risk Assessments
- Provide a daily report summary of work activities performed, following the template provided
- Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders to grow sales and expand market share in accordance with company goals and objectives.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial enquiry through end of warranty/project period.
- Self-educate to ensure you remain current on the latest product developments in the industry.
- Maintain an understanding of our competitor's product offering.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations, negotiate terms and close contracts to meet or exceed company sales targets.
- Support colleagues on all aspects of GeoForce products.
- Cross departmental collaboration with peers to ensure all relationships are utilized to put the company in the best position to be successful on all projects.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on new products and services to our customers.
- Identify and build relationships with reputable suppliers for specialized equipment, negotiating agreements and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels efficiently.
- Occasional post-sales duties such as warranty claims, tracking of shipments, and coordinating of technical support.
- Other duties as requested.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering Technology would be an asset.
- Independent problem solver and big-picture problem solving skills. Entrepreneurial spirit is a key attribute.
- Theoretical knowledge or education/experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps and pumping systems or electronic tracking is an asset.
- Experience in instrumentation or electrical would be considered an asset.
- Sales experience and customer service would be an asset.
- Field experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, exemplary attendance, ethical business practices, a reliable team member who is eager to succeed.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- Honest and dedicated with a character that is aligned with Canada Pump and Power's mission and values.
- Fluent in English with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Must participate in and pass screening tests for drugs, alcohol, and other controlled substances.
**Work Environment**:
- General office environment
- Frequent site visits (approximately 80% of time)
- Occasional exposure to noisy, dusty, and/or wet environment
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions
- Interaction with Research and Development team, Management, Production, Marketing, Operations, other employees, contractors, customers, and other necessary contacts
**Physical Demands**:
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Use a computer for several hours a day
- Stand and walk when necessary
- Light lifting of supplies and materials
- Capable of moving over and around obstacles
- Capable of lifting large or heavy loads sometimes up to 18 kg.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
