As a (Dietary)** Cook** at **Taylor View Towers**, we seek the following skills and attributes:

- Assists the Food Services Supervisor in supervising and managing the activities of the food services team. Supports the Food Services Supervisor in coordinating and overseeing care partner planning and service time scheduling, including overtime and time off requests. Supports the Food Services Supervisor in the following processes: recruitment, interviewing, hiring, retention, promotion, orientation, and training.
- Orders, receives, and coordinates inventory management for the operation of the food services area
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Prepares and organizes all high-quality meals following the menu cycle and prepares off-menu items to accommodate modified diets
- Complies with Service Area Checklists and verifies sign-off
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations. You will assist the chef in preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness. Your attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, and commitment to food safety will contribute to the success of our kitchen team.

- Maintaining records required by the Community, required auditors, and funders as required
- Attains and maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, provincial, and federal regulatory standards

**Qualifications**:

- Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
- Food Safe Certificate
