**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Personal Support Worker Certificate Required.
- Current CPR.
- One year experience working as a Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge and experience using proper body mechanics for a one-person transport by wheelchair or stretcher.
- Demonstrated understanding of proper body mechanics when pushing, pulling, lifting and transferring patients.
- Working knowledge of stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, etc.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
