About the role
Join the Business Transformation Sector at CMHC in the change management team, where we effectively deliver technology enabled transformative initiatives, harnessing robust core capabilities, that set CMHC up for long term success. In this Bilingual Specialist, Change Management role, you will use your leadership, strategic thinking and analytical skills to provide change management support to our Homeowner Business Transformation (HBT), which is a complex, multi-year program that will enable modern, scalable technology to transform CMHC’s Homeowner Mortgage Loan Insurance systems into an analytics-driven mortgage business.
**This is a temporary position of a duration of 2 years.**
**What you’ll do**:
- Work with the project team to assess the level and impact of change, define a process for managing it, and develop change strategies and plans to execute on its delivery.
- Develop and support engagement, communication and training plans and materials in collaboration with other relevant teams within CMHC.
- Monitor and report on change adoption and provide recommendations to stakeholders on best practices and targeted interventions that will manage resistance to change.
- Provide change management advice and guidance to project leaders to mitigate change risks and support decision-making.
- Build and maintain connections across CMHC to anticipate impacts and dependencies and influence planning accordingly.
- Advance organizational change management capability by educating project leaders, executive sponsors and employees on the value and role change management.
**What you need**:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance, social or human sciences.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience supporting change management on complex transformation projects.
- A good knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, including a change management certification (ADKAR preferred, others acceptable).
- A demonstrated experience developing, implementing and measuring change management strategies, plans and tactics as well as developing a variety of communications products, to effectively lead others through transformation.
- Advanced interpersonal, oral and written communication, facilitation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English)
