Our passionate and collaborative BC team is seeking a Surveying Branch Lead, to support our Fort St. John location and lead our team from an operational standpoint. This role will coordinate and collaborate with the larger BC region and implement strategies, plans and programs to maximize operational performance in Fort St. John.

Our new Branch Lead will significantly impact external clients and internal team members and must embody GeoVerra’s values and reflect the corporate strategy.

**What you **will do**:

- Partner with leaders throughout the BC region to maximize operational performance.
- Manage and elevate employees in accordance with GeoVerra core values, the performance management program, and the job architecture.
- Support Field Operations in coordination with the Field Crew Coordination team.
- Partner with the Talent Attraction team to help attract, hire, and onboard new employees and work closely with the HR team to continue to engage and retain team members.
- Manage day-to-day facilities operation in coordination with administration and the Property Manager.
- Lead and/or assist in preparing quality proposals in conjunction with our proposal office that meets the client’s requirements.
- Participate in industry associations and proactively work to raise local GeoVerra brand awareness.
- Effectively lead Project Managers to:

- o achieve KPIs and ensure successful delivery on contractual commitments and financial targets,
- o be the last line of defense to mitigate issues and risks, to meet client expectations and achieve or exceed profitability targets.
- o communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Visibly champion the GeoVerra quality, safety, employee engagement and ethics & compliance programs to ensure they are embedded in our culture.
- Actively contribute toward an inclusive culture and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and for those working with you.

**What you will bring**:

- 5+ years of previous leadership and People Management experience in Geomatics and Land Surveying.
- BCLS Designation required.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people at all levels in the organization.
- Aptitude to support and mentor/teach other members of the team.
- Competence to work without supervision with effective time management and strong organizational skills.
- Keen awareness of scope, budget, and primary tasks to maintain project schedules.
- Skilled in relationship management, to maintaining and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge of laws, regulations, statutes, and codes pertaining to project impacts and Land Surveying services
- Adaptable and able to think outside the box.
- Skilled at challenging others to constantly improve and innovate.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Clear pre-employment background check, including Canadian Criminal Record check.
