**Job Summary**

Homecare West is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our growing team as **Community Support & Cleaning Assistants**. This hybrid role is designed to support seniors living independently or in supported housing through a combination of **non-medical care**, **light cleaning**, and **environmental support services**.

**Key Responsibilities: Care Support (Non-Medical)**
- Provide companionship and social interaction
- Support with mobility and walking (as needed)
- Assist with reminders (hydration, medication, appointments)
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or environment
- Build trusting relationships with clients and promote well-being

**Cleaning & Household Tasks**
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including:

- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
- Dusting and surface sanitation
- Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
- Garbage and recycling removal
- Laundry (wash, dry, fold) if requested
- Follow client-specific cleaning preferences and routines.

**Administrative & Reporting**
- Maintain accurate visit records and submit reports promptly
- Communicate with scheduling and coordination team on client updates or concerns
- Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and privacy standards

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in home support, housekeeping, or community care roles (preferred)
- Passion for supporting older adults and vulnerable populations
- Ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and empathy
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in various client environments
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector)
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (as per public health guidance)
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform moderate physical activity
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekdays and occasional weekends
