Housekeeping Laundry Attendant

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for sorting and counting soiled linen to be sent out for washing.
- Sort linen into various bins
- Count linen and record totals on the “linen sent out” inventory sheet
- Tag all lost and found items with the date, location, and finder’s name, hand it into the Housekeeping office
- Report any abuse or unusual damage of linen to housekeeping office
- Separate, count and record all new linen that are sent out for stamping
- Arrange them neatly on the shelves
- Sweep and mop floor
- Bag dirty uniform and fill out the employee laundry list
- Enclose laundry list in bag and place it in the laundry bag in the uniform room for washing
- Heavy lifting - typical weight is usually greater than 30 pounds
- Works with cleaning chemicals and is exposed to noxious fumes
- Extended periods of walking and standing

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning and inspection tasks.
- Must be able to lift several times during their shift.
- Walking and standing required for the most part of their day.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environment.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment
- Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity for long periods of time.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- Ability to speak, read and write in the primary language (English) used in the workplace

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
