**General Job Description**:
This position reports to the TPS Supervisor and will work with all members of the TG Minto team. The leader technician will assist with directing TPS Technicians. Flexible work hours will be necessary. Shift times will vary with production requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Schedules and assigns work load to TPS technicians
- Responsible for on-time completion of TPS Kaizen Shop tasks
- Assist TPS department with Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities
- Ensures 2S conditions are maintained in all assigned areas
- Assist engineers to develop manufacturing and processing procedures and variables
- Maintain proper inventory of shop materials
- Training new team members

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of one
- or two-year college program in industrial engineering technology or in a related discipline or
- Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent working knowledge of TPS principles
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Must demonstrate a regard for company policy
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must have strong performance in current role
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and juggle multiple assignments
- Mechanically inclined
