Deveraux Apartment Communities has been a comprehensive, professional property management firm since 2011. It presently manages over 5700 multi-family apartment units in Regina, Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary. As a Facilities Technician you will report directly to the Facilities Manager. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for all maintenance and technical duties at assigned properties. The ultimate objectives of this position are to maintain and enhance the mechanical infrastructure of all properties, provide quality service, and offer an enjoyable living experience for residents.

The following attributes and skills will enable the Facilities Technician to be successful in completing the tasks and responsibilities required in this role:

- Certified as an AHS Level I Pool Operator or be prepared to complete the training, at the employer's expense.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Dedicated to building better communities for all our residents
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve effectively
- Responsible for actions and decisions, with the capacity to follow through until a resolution occurs
- Strong planning and organizational skills coupled with ability to multi-task and prioritize

- Ability to remain calm and in control of a situation while still maintaining patience, empathy, and understanding
- Ability to work independently (self managed) and with other colleagues in a team environment

- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
- Maintenance service experience and understanding of construction practices
- Strong knowledge of tools, parts, building maintenance and operations
- Willingness and ability to travel within the city - Must have a Class 5 Drivers License and access to transportation
- Committed to continuous growth and development with a willingness to participate in additional training

- Provide comfortable, clean and well-maintained facilities for residents to enjoy
- Maintain structural integrity of building by completing minor repairs
- Plumbing
- Heating/Cooling
- Electrical
- Appliances
- Interior finishes - drywall, paint, flooring, etc.
- Building exterior
- Ensure vacant apartments are always in a state of “rent-readiness”, clean and fully prepared for move-in
- Ensure proper and accurate inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Flexible on-call hours required (including evenings and weekends)
- Address resident maintenance req
