Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: **Work Description** As a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Assistant, you may have the opportunity to work on some or all of the following activities: - Assist staff with data collection, trend analysis, and simple map preparation using Geographic Information System (GIS) software. - Collect, review, verify, and enter information/data into databases/forms, as well as perform analysis and evaluation of information and data to produce reports. - Provide customer service assistance by responding to public and/or internal inquiries. - Field work may include technical investigations, inspections, and site visits. - Office work may include graphic design for image reorganization/optimization and printing support. - Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage daily assigned work. **How do I qualify?**: **Mandatory**: You must meet **all** eligibility criteria by the first day of employment (contracts begin between May and July): - **Age**: You must be a minimum of 15 years of age.
