We are currently seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join our team at Travelodge by Wyndham Thunder Bay. **Duties and Responsibilities**: - Oversee the daily operations of the front office department to ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for guests - Manage and train front desk staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold company standards - Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner - Ensure proper billing procedures are followed and resolve any billing discrepancies - Monitor room availability and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest check-in - Maintain accurate records of room inventory and guest information - Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff - Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction **Experience**: - Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or related field is required - Expereince within a Wyndham Hotel, and of the Opera Cloud PMS preferred. - Multilingual abilities are a plus - Strong Mangerial, and Team Building Skills - Proficiency in front desk operations, phone etiquette, and bilingual skills is advantageous - Familiarity with phone systems and guest services in a hotel setting is preferred **Requirements**: - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality is a bonus - Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial - Proven experience in a front office or similar managerial role within the hotel industry - Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: - Bonus pay **Benefits**: - On-site parking - Paid time off Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: - Thunder Bay, ON P7B 3Y7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Application question(s): - "Have you ever worked at a Wyndham property?
