Responsibilities

The STEM Instructor reports to the Director and would be responsible for a variety of activities including:
1. Leading 8 to 10 off-site club visits weekly (50% of time);
2. Developing activities, preparing equipment and writing lesson plans (30% of time);
3. Business development (10% of time);
4. Newsletter and Posts (5% of time); and

5. Other Duties (5% of time).

Experience

You have 1-2 years of work experience with children in a professional or volunteer capacity. Additionally, you have a demonstrated experience in a role of responsibility for at least 1 year.

Education

A high school diploma is necessary. Ideally studying or a degree, diploma in Science, Engineering or Math is desired.

Attributes

You are extremely comfortable and confident in front of an audience or group. You have strong improvisation skills.

You grasp new concepts in a variety of areas and have the ability to quickly learn essential elements of a topic or task.

You have good writing skills and can work with MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

You exhibit patience and responsible behaviour patterns in all aspects of dealing with clients.

You are well organized and thoughtful in your approach to problem solving.

You have excellent verbal and listening skills.

Other Requirements

You must be able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle (compensated for mileage and use)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 24 per week

Additional pay:
