**Job Summary**:Project leader in the Continuous Improvement process. Provide continuous support to all aspects of the business operations and be an expert in lean methodologies
**Required Qualifications**:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent stamping plant work experience
- Minimum 5 years of stamping plant floor experience
- Understanding of automotive OEMs and Tier-1/2 stamping business
- Lean manufacturing experience (Quick Die Change, SPM improvement, Problem Solving, Plant Layouts, Material flow, 5S, Lineside boards) with capability to lead a lean transformation
- Project management experience
- Strong computer skills, Organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to teach or train others
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and teach capacity planning at plants
- Consolidate and report divisional capacity. Draw conclusions from reported data. Escalate problems to management.
- Manage multi-plant die movement or launch projects through representatives at each site
- Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and development to Press Shop Kaizen Leader representatives
- Track performance KPIs and report on progress of projects
**Employee Relations**
- Communicate effectively with employees and management staff
- Perform compulsory overtime as necessary and in accordance with legislative requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Comply, ensure and enforce Rules of Conduct (Sign off agreement) in your hire package
- Provide and/or participate in training as required
- Comply, ensure and enforce all company rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook
- Comply, ensure and enforce the Employee Standards Act, 2000
**Physical Demands**
- Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
- Ability to be present on the production floor daily
**Health and Safety Responsibilities**
- Must work in accordance with H&S regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear PPE and certain clothing as required by the Company
