**Position Overview**:
The Facilities Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and repair of our facilities. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks that contribute to the safety, compliance, and overall functionality of the buildings. The Facilities Technician is expected to bring a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues, promptly addressing any discrepancies to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all building operations and maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Regularly assess the facility's safety and accessibility, proactively identifying and addressing potential compliance issues.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to ensure that maintenance, repairs, and renovations are executed effectively and within established timelines.
- Provide guidance and supervision to contractors, ensuring their work aligns with quality and safety standards.
- Efficiently manage and prioritize work orders and tasks to optimize resource allocation and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless coverage and support for various maintenance and operational needs.
- Be available for on-call duties to address emergency maintenance and repair situations outside regular working hours, ensuring the safety and security of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, utilizing digital systems and documentation tools.
- Generate reports detailing maintenance tasks, issues, and solutions, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
- Adhere to established Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and protocols to promote a safe and healthful work environment.
- Identify potential hazards and risks, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and ensure employee well-being.
- Continuously evaluate maintenance and operational processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal means, facilitating clear and accurate exchange of information.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in facilities management, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus.
- Proven experience in building operations, maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with environmental health and safety regulations and practices.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing ladders, and using tools.
