**Your day to day activities will include**:

- Conduct mechanical and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
- Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Prepare and update preventative maintenance program
- Participate in water treatment programs involving high pressure steam equipment
- Work effectively in a feed manufacturing environment with emphasis and compliance to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
- Optimize safety and reliability of machines and equipment by following and complying with appropriate precautions to prevent risk to employees and to the product
- Complete and update maintenance reports as per company and regulatory standards
- Perform maintenance post clean up and maintain high standard of sanitation and housekeeping in the production area and maintenance shop
- Proactively forecast Parts needs/requirements and order accordingly
- 1+ years of experience in a maintenance position, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Some experience in electrical and/or pneumatic equipment is required
- Millwright or Electricians certificate is an asset
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing and processing equipment is a definite asset
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work 10 hour shifts, which would include every second weekend
- On call availability for emergency repairs during evenings and weekends
