Winnipeg, Canada GPD Flatroofing Full time

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:GPD is based out of Winnipeg Manitoba. We specialize in commercial flat roofing and provides premium services for commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing needs. We are currently seeking an Estimating Assistant. This is an entry level position open to anyone with an interest in working towards becoming an estimator. The Estimating Assistant will be responsible for assisting the estimating department with all facets of the bidding process.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Communicate directly with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners
- Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating department and field personnel
- Determine scopes of work and assist with all estimates
- Examine and analyze tenders and associated tender documents.
- Distribute required information and supply subcontractors with project information as needed
- Contract review and generating requests for information (RFI's)
- Managing the change order process
- Assist with obtaining and processing shop drawings and submittals
- Promotes safety at the jobsite
- Perform follow ups on closed tender opportunities and quoted work.
- Inform the team of any potential risks associated with the tendering project before the submission of any quote.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal structure while exercising great judgment
- Strong Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
