**Overview**
As the Window and Door Installation Foreman, you will oversee all aspects of the installation process, manage day-to-day operations on job sites, ensure safety compliance, and provide hands-on guidance and training to your team. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of window and door installers. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the installation of both windows and doors, including measurements, preparation, fitting, leveling, sealing, and hardware installation. Ensure proper alignment and functionality of windows and doors.
- Coordinate daily operations on job sites, handle materials and equipment, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and within specified timelines.
- Inspect completed installations for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all work meets company standards and manufacturer specifications. Address any issues or defects promptly.
- Enforce strict safety practices on job sites, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and company safety policies. Conduct safety briefings and regular toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment.
- Interact with site project managers daily and resolve any issues or concerns related to installations.
- Maintain accurate records of job progress, materials used, and any issues encountered. Report daily to supervisors on the status of ongoing projects.
- Resolve any challenges or problems that arise during the installation process, ensuring mínimal delays and efficient solutions.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and training for junior installers, ensuring they develop the necessary skills to advance in the trade and uphold company standards.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in both window and door installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of window and door types (e.g., double-hung, casement, sliding, French doors, entry doors, patio doors), installation techniques, and the tools/equipment used in the field. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of OHS regulations and the ability to implement and enforce safety protocols on job sites.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve installation-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (max 75lbs), work in a variety of weather conditions, and perform physical tasks, including working at heights or in tight spaces.
- A valid driver’s license is required to travel between job sites.
**Working Condition**
The majority of the work involves travel between various project sites, including out-of-town locations, with occasional reporting to the head office as required.
Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
