Assembler/shop Technician

**Summary**
The technician’s main responsibility is the assembly and testing of valve products. A variety of other general shop tasks can be required and can include the following
**Responsibilities**
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
- Assembly, repair and testing work as required
- Level 1 Inspections
- Reporting any non-conformances identified to the QA department
- Operation of processing machinery and equipment as required
- Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed
- Submission of correctly completed paperwork
- Painting and packaging of finished product
- Putting away inventory in correct bin locations
- General shop clean-up and maintenance
- Other miscellaneous tasks as required by Production Manager
- Activities related to their job in accordance with customer requirements and Frontier's Quality Assurance Manual and operating and production procedures
**Requirements**:
- Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to perform moderately labor intensive and repetitious tasks
- Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand stationary for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Asset to have forklift training
- Asset to have first aid training
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
