**Direct Service Professional (DSP)**

Reporting to the House Manager, the DSP is responsible for providing personal support to individuals with disabilities in all their daily household and community activities and needs. This includes, but is not limited to: pursuing their vocational, recreational, and self-care goals. As a DSP you will gain valuable experience and skills while having the ability to enjoy and build the community we live in.

**Technical & Education**:
Required:

- Must submit a clear Vulnerable Persons Criminal Reference and Adult Abuse Registry check
- Current Emergency First Aid/CPR or willing to obtain in the first 90 days of employment
- Class 5 license for transporting clients to and from community programs and daily activities
- Physically fit and able to bend, lift, push, and/or pull various items up to 50lbs
- Fluent in English. Above average verbal and written skills to complete documentation, incident reports, logbooks, etc.
- Beneficial skills include: experience or education in the field of developmental services, experience in the administration of medication, understanding of the Vulnerable Person’s Act and Personal Health

Information Act, training in NVCI, and/or experience in providing personal care support to individuals with special needs
