**Material Handler**

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

- Operate warehouse and production machinery, including **forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment**, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Track inventory levels, monitor stock, and make recommendations for purchases to maintain adequate supply.
- Fulfill production and shipping orders by packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment or internal use.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and easy accessibility.
- Manage **issuing of parts to production jobs and inventory transactions in the Syspro system** accurately and efficiently.
- Perform data entry and maintain detailed records of material movements, orders, and inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, including hauling a 20’ trailer between company facilities and suppliers.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Utilize computer programs such as **Microsoft Outlook and Excel** to track materials, generate reports, and communicate with team members.

**Qualifications & Skills**

- Valid **driver’s license** with ability to drive trailers between facilities and suppliers.
- Experience operating **forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse machinery** (certifications preferred).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and data entry systems; experience with **Syspro or similar ERP systems** is an asset.
- Strong **attention to detail**, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office**, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials safely.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Previous experience in a **warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment** is preferred.

**Hours of Work**

- Averaging hour agreement 44-hour work week
- Monday to Thursday: 9 hours

- Friday 8 hours
- Flex Start 6 am - 9 am
