Injection Moulding Technician

The Injection Technician has several major areas of responsibilities and related tasks which must be adhered to in order to achieve our goals. They are as follows:
**Tasks and Duties**
- Loading and unloading of materials into dryers and hoppers
- Setting up molds (cleanout, purging, water, hydraulics, etc.)
- Starting up machines
- Troubleshooting basic and advanced molding problems
- Basic robot functions
- Setup auxiliary equipment
- Use of an overhead crane
- Maintaining of equipment
- Mini blender calibrations
- updating existing setup sheets
- Basic process/QA documentation

**Requirements**:

- General knowledge of math
- Knowledge of Imperial and Metric system
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Valve gate controller knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.57-$25.86 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- plastics extrusion: 1 year (preferred)
