**Pennecon Heavy Civil** is growing We have recently been awarded a general contract with **Manitoba Hydro** to upgrade their Pointe du Bois Hydro Facility. This construction work will run for about 10 months and consist of replacing older generators and turbines in the powerhouse. We are looking for diligent and responsible employees in the following areas:
**Role: Labourer**
**Location: Pointe du Bois, Manitoba**

Your primary accountabilities would include:

- Responsible to participate in a zero harm safety culture in the execution of the work and support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs;
- Concrete demolition work including chipping of masonry & concrete with hand tools;
- Coring holes into existing concrete walls;
- Placement and consolidation of new concrete including concrete finishing;
- Manual clean up of work areas including waste sorting into proper bins

Qualifications:

- Past experience working in an industrial construction environment;
- Able to take and follow direction by the construction management team;
- Knowledge of small tool handling;
- Commitment to a safe work environment

Project Information:

- This would be a rotational position of 14 days on / 7 days off;
- The duration of the position will be 10 months until Spring ‘24;
- Hourly rate - $28.40/hour
- Note, we will be providing competitive room and board allowances along with travel depending on the location of your residence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- construction: 3 years (preferred)
