We are looking to build our Kingston and Ottawa team of Fire Protection Installers and priority will be given to those with a demonstrated interest and commitment to the Sprinkler and Fire Protection trade.

**JOB DESCRIPTION - SPRINKLER FITTER**

**Broad Responsibilities**:

- Support the safe execution of work
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Select the type and size of pipe required and arrange the piping to provide fire protection
- Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support the piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment
- Join and connect pipes and piping sections to related piping systems, tanks, mains, pumps, compressors and control equipment using various pipe joining methods
- Test systems for leaks using air or water pressure
- Inspect, maintain and repair piping, fixtures and controls including hydrant, pump and sprinkler head connections.

**Day to Day Tasks**:

- SAFETY
- Verify safety certification booklet is on hand and valid
- notify the office if any safeties are expired
- Review the work site prior to beginning any work
- Complete & Submit Pre Job Safety Instruction Forms
- Hold the weekly safety talk utilizing provided handout, complete and submit the safety talk form to the office
- Wear appropriate PPE
- TOOLS
- Set up and organize tools for the day
- Take inventory of onsite tools
- Lock up tools for the evening
- MATERIAL
- Take inventory of received material on sites
- Submit packing slips to office
- Review if material will be needed and submit request to office (look ahead)
- CLEAN UP
- Clean up all garbage, tools and waste on job site before leaving for the day
- HOURS

- Submit contract progress reports, work orders, inspection reports

**Required Attributes**:

**Salary**: $30.00-$46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
