Supply Chain Leader POSITION: Supply Chain Leader DESCRIPTION: The Supply Chain Leader will develop, implement, and monitor processes to optimize the supply chain and material processes for the Business Unit. This individual will take a lead role in interfacing with our strategic suppliers and leveraging the relationships for continuous improvement of inventory velocity and product costing. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to: - Implement a framework for best practices in supply chain and inventory and risk management - Support corporate strategic initiatives for supply chain (material cost reductions, supplier discounts, OTD and monitoring, comprehensive cycle-counting, material management/ availability and supplier NC/NR maintenance) - Manage exceptional purchasing strategies - Specific regional objectives (inventory turns, inventory level, material planning, outbound logistics etc ) - Manage Shipping & Receiving and inspection capacity to the highest standard - People and culture (development plans, coaching, mentoring, cross-training) - Build positive relationships with both internal and external customers - Add value through your ability to understand and refine business processes QUALIFICATIONS: - Ability to obtain results through people within your scope of responsibility as well as those outside of your scope of responsibility - Must have relevant post-secondary business education or equivalent - Practical industry experience in a multi-location environment (preferably in a complex manufacturing setting) - Knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing". Experience with rapid change models such as Kaizen - Dedicated and professional attitude, willing to learn in a high change/high pace environment - Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives on autonomy and the challenges of continuous improvement Working Environment Conditions Physical Demands The incumbent must be fit and possess sufficient strength to safely maneuver around archived materials up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others Mental Demands The position involves an above average degree of attention and mínimal mental stress in an environment where interruptions may be ongoing. Working Conditions The working environment is generally clean; however, the incumbent may be exposed to occasionally dust. The incumbent is required to wear safety clothing and gears while working in safety sensitive areas. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate Reporting Relationships: Reports to (Title): Senior Vice President & General Manager - Vancouver Additional reporting requirements to the VP of Supply Chain.
