**Alterations and Customizations**:
- Perform precise alterations on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other formalwear, including hemming, taking in/out seams, adjusting straps, adding bustles, and resizing.
- Customize gowns to meet specific client requests, such as adding sleeves, embellishments, or unique design elements.
- Ensure all garments are tailored to perfection and delivered on time.
- **Customer Service**:
- Conduct fittings with brides and bridal parties, listening to their needs and providing expert advice on alterations and customization options.
- Offer a calm, professional, and supportive atmosphere during fittings to enhance the overall bridal experience.
- Communicate clearly about alteration timelines, costs, and potential design outcomes.
- **Garment Care and Quality Assurance**:
- Inspect garments for quality and address any imperfections before or after alterations.
- Handle delicate fabrics like lace, satin, silk, and tulle with care and precision.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with bridal consultants to understand the vision and requirements for each client.
- Provide feedback on gown designs and fit challenges to assist with future inventory decisions.
- **Workshop Management**:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, ensuring all sewing machines and tools are in good working order.
- Keep an inventory of necessary supplies, including needles, thread, zippers, and embellishments.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor, with a focus on bridal or formalwear alterations.
- Exceptional sewing and garment construction skills, with proficiency in both hand-sewing and machine-sewing.
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics, including delicate materials like lace, tulle, and satin.
- Strong understanding of garment fitting and tailoring techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Freelance
