HGC Management Inc. Belleville has a position available for Sorter/Forklift Operator.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, person to support the functions of our operations and recycling teams. Under the general direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the is responsible for sorting recyclable materials from a conveyor belt and keeping the sorting area tidy. Safe and efficient use of a forklift and other vehicles/machines. Must be able to work in the heat and the cold weather.

**Hourly rate**:$ 17.04 - $ 17.57 per hour

**Initial Job Responsibilities**:

- Support the operation on the production floor.
- Work safely and successfully independently or in a team environment.
- Work as a team with fellow members on a variety of production responsibilities
- Clean up areas of the plant; assist as a general laborer.
- Responsible for the safe and effective operation of all stationary and mobile equipment in all areas of the plant.
- Comply with all company policies and safety procedures.
- Complete the necessary paperwork related to daily production.
- Ability to perform various types of physical labour including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shoveling, etc.

**Forklift Operator & Relief Loader Operator**
- Perform a daily pre-inspection of equipment, record the results.
- Perform some preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e., greasing)
- Ensure piles are safely piled to avoid creating a hazard.
- Able to interpret, use hand signals, and voice to communicate with others.
- Able to exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material.

**Other Duties**:

- Accurately complete, daily, all required paperwork.
- Ensure Company equipment, material, and worksites are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.
- Clean all work areas daily to keep them in safe working order.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Good spatial skills
- Skill to work and drive outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Capability to adapt and adjust to various assignments as requested by Supervisor.
- Must have own transportation.
- HGC will train as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.04-$17.57 per hour
