The Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) works with communities, service providers, government, and system partners, including Ontario Health's Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence (CoE)) to move evidence to action and create sustainable change in Ontario’s mental health and addictions system. With expertise in implementation, knowledge mobilization, evaluation, equity, lived experience engagement, and data management, PSSP is on the ground across the province, collaborating with a wide variety of health and social care partners, to build a stronger, more equitable and more accessible mental health and substance use care system.
Reporting to the Manager, Tech-Enabled Knowledge Mobilization (KMb), the Specialist, Digital Resource Design will play a key role in supporting the Knowledge Mobilization portfolio within PSSP, fulfilling identified knowledge mobilization priorities across Ontario’s mental health, substance use, and addictions system.
**Responsibilities**
- The Specialist, Digital Resource Design will lead the graphic design of all knowledge resources, ensuring full compliance to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- They will use extensive whiteboard/animated video development skills and experience in support of digital resource development.
- They will use their expert design skills to provide high-quality production of a broad range of knowledge tools and products, including data visualization, storyboarding and script development, video development and editing, infographics, and resources for social media campaigns.
- Adopting a user-centred focus, the Specialist will participate in the execution of streamlined work flow processes to ensure integration of best practices in KMb, including the engagement of the diverse forms of expertise and lived/living experience.
- Working closely with the Senior Consultant, KMb & Digital Resource Design they will also support the development and implementation of knowledge mobilization strategies, with emphasis on high-quality and accessible digital knowledge resources.
- They will be a champion for excellence in KMb and work diligently to support the portfolio in responding to communities’ needs for evidence and promote the uptake of evidence-informed practices. Innovative and equity-centred thinking will be required to consider how to optimize the use and design of digital resources in rural and remote areas.

**Qualifications**:
- Extensive experience creating whiteboard animations and motion graphics is required and must be demonstrated.
- They must have strong knowledge and working experience in recording, editing, and publishing video and audio.
- They will have experience and working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Captivate).
- They will have experience and working knowledge of digital learning design in Learning Management System, preferred in Moodle.
- They will demonstrate an existing portfolio that showcases their work across a broad range of KMb strategies, specifically focused on designing digital knowledge resources that are responsive to community needs.
- They will be detailed oriented, innovative and a diplomatic collaborator to support the KMb team.
- They will have the capacity to centre equity in their digital resource development practices and champion excellence in KMb.
- They must possess strong coordination skills including the capacity to execute streamlined processes for developing digital resources for public-facing platforms (e.g. Vimeo)
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in written and verbal communications is required, as well as applied knowledge of digital resources for communication/marketing strategies, AODA compliance, web design, and graphics and media content development.
- They will have experience working with diverse interest groups to understand their information needs and develop responsive digital information resources. Expertise with graphic design, infographic and data visualization programs (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Photoshop) is required.
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher), Adobe Creative Cloud, storyboarding programs (e.g., Visme, Plot, Canva), and video editing software also required, as is the capacity and interest to adopting new and innovative tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, inclusivity, respect and cultural competence is required.
- Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset
