**Position Summary**:
***The Component Maintenance Manager, working within the COE Airframe of Fleet Management & Planning, is responsible for overseeing component maintenance activities. This role involves managing multiple portfolios, supporting the Director of COE Engines, and potentially working from various international locations, including Germany.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Manage component maintenance budget, including estimating, approving, and tracking expenditures.
- Manage vendor relationships and serve as TAI's technical representative on all issues, repairs, and work scopes, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards.
- Implement complex component maintenance processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance component maintenance procedures and outcomes.
- Implement and manage the obsolescence process for the fleet, identifying components needing substitution and coordinating a cross-functional team.
- Integrate and maintain component maintenance processes within maintenance tracking software (e.g., RAMCO) to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of maintenance activities.
- Track parts status against the Maintenance Program using the tracking.
- Define and oversee maintenance requirements for parts repair, ensuring the completion of scheduled inspections and advising on approved configurations while coordinating updates in supplemental manuals and related documents.
- Assist in maintenance control for engines on behalf of the company's Aircraft Operating Certificate (AOC) as described in the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM).
- Investigate reliability issues in collaboration with the Reliability Analyst and liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate effective solutions.
- Evaluate the feasibility of alternate parts and repair projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational requirements.
- Work with the Fleet Management Team to:
- Develop and update the maintenance forecast for the fleet based on planned aircraft usage rates.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with AMO Maintenance Planners.
- Forecast parts and maintenance requirements for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Liaise with vendors and intermediate maintenance organizations for maintenance and repairs or development of alternate parts.
- Collaborate with ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Buyers, ISC analysts, and the Demand Planning Team to ensure effective planning, coordination, and prioritization of components and parts, facilitate timely procurement, and maintain optimal operational availability.
- Work with the Fleet Managers to:
- Coordinate, develop and update maintenance forecasts for the fleet based on planned aircraft usage rates, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with AMO Maintenance Planners to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
- Forecast parts and maintenance requirements for the upcoming fiscal year, integrating input from various stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Liaise with vendors and intermediate maintenance organizations for maintenance, repairs, or development of alternate parts, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Assist with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) compliance.
- Support with service information reviews, AD SB acceptable data, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
- Generate and issue special inspections as required.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS).

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the execution or management of aircraft maintenance or equivalent experience in a regulated industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, manufacturing).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance control, including adherence to schedules and direction of activities.
- Experience in the entry, retrieval, and management of maintenance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
