**OVERVIEW OF POSITION - Commissary Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher**

Reports to: Commissary Kitchen Manager

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the Kitchen, fridges/ freezers and commissary area.
- Properly recycle all boxes and food scraps.
- Deliver large containers/bins to the Kitchen, as needed.
- Operate delivery van
- Comply with all Impact Kitchen policies and procedures.
- Perform general and deep cleaning of all areas in kitchen.
- Handle all chemicals according to the Safety Data Sheets provided (WHMIS, WHMIS 2015).
- Operate equipment according to training
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of kitchen experience in a QSR or similar environment with a general understanding of cooking fundamentals and practices
- Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices
- Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
- Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team based setting
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Available to work
- 5 days/week
- full time hours (40 hours/week)
- morning & daytime shifts
- Food Handlers is an asset but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
- Full G Drivers licence with clean driving record
