We currently have an exciting opportunity for an entry level **Production Worker** This role will be based out of our Extrusion plant facility located in Langley, BC and reports to the Production Manager.

**Job Summary**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- With training, assist in the line operation of extruders and associated equipment
- Perform quality checks using micrometers, calibers, and tape measures.
- Package pipe in accurate pallet sizes and quantities and document production
- Use basic hand tools and operate of forklift
- Identify, transfer, and load material for production
- Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions
- Identify, remove and report scrap in compliance with work instructions
- Troubleshoot problems that involve multiple-choice options and determine the most appropriate course of action
- Support and stay in sync with the efforts of the Joint, Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping, environmental and safe working conditions
- Perform a variety of other tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or certificate of completion is required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; plastics experience is an asset
- Must be knowledgeable in imperial and metric measurement systems and basic math
- Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
- Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to contribute to and foster a positive team environment
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, 4 on and 4 off. This consists of 2 Day shifts (7am - 7pm) and 2 night shifts (7pm - 7am).

**Working Conditions**
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- The use of hand tools
- Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
