IT Infrastructure

We are seeking an **IT Infrastructure Administrator**, a creative problem solver. Working in a complex computing environment you will work as part of a team that provides operational support for systems, services, and information technologies in a highly diverse infrastructure environment.

As a team player, you will work closely alongside the IT Operations Manager and the IT team in the evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of our core technologies

**Your responsibilities**

**How will you contribute to the team effort?**
- Actively implement, maintain, troubleshoot and document complex virtualized, SaaS and PaaS environments
- Perform analysis, continual improvement and capacity planning of corporate technologies
- Review environments and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance
- Stay abreast of current technologies and make recommendations based on knowledge and research
- Monitor help desk database for entries on infrastructure resource issues ; prioritize and respond to help desk tickets as appropriate.
- Plan and implement upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
- Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports
- Configure IT platforms to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Proven experience and success with virtualized infrastructure (VMWare), SaaS and PaaS technologies (Azure, AWS, Intune, Jamf, Okta)
- Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network, server and PC operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- At least five years’ equivalent work experience in a senior technical analytical position responsible for managing IT environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of IT hardware
- Experience with IT environment performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and UDP network protocols, and operating system configuration.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- College or University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Located in Montreal, QC or Ottawa, ON
- Be available to work an on-call rotational schedule as required (on average once every six weeks)
- Able to make trips to our datacenter in St-Laurent or to our office space in Westmount once a fiscal quarter
