**What can you expect in this role?**

You will:

- Underwrite a variety of small business property transactions including (but not limited to) cancellations, inquiries, policy changes and renewals.
- Work with a dedicated team to maintain a profitable insurance portfolio.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our broker partners in all interactions.
- Ensure that insurance policies are priced according to company guidelines and that the rate is commensurate for the risk itself.

**What do you bring to the role?**

Your resume will highlight that you have:

- A high school diploma combined with relevant work experience.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have post-secondary credential(s) and/or the CIP designation (or working towards).
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a commercial underwriting department and/or similar brokerage role.
- You are professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, both with clients and colleagues.
- Team spirit along with an ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
