Qualifications & Requirements: Key Responsibilities: - A solid understanding of accounting software to record and analyze information - Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard accounting practices. - Maintain up to date customer records with accurate billing and contact information - Post business transactions, ensure timely collections, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts receivable records - Receive, record and bank cash and cheques and automate by converting to PAD - Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for receivables, auditing and tax purposes. - Reconcile receivables accounts, identify aging to ensure timely collections, within 30 days. - Assist with month end and year end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting - Ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial and Company policies, procedures and regulations - Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organizations **Qualifications** - 3 - 5 years accounting experience in a multi-organizational setting (nonprofit - organization) - A degree would be beneficial in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA Student is an asset - Proficient in accounting software (Sage Intacct), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) Knowledge on other student database software for schools e.g. Populi, My Ed, Otis, etc. is an asset - Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and can work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent oral and written communication skills Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - Dental care - Disability insurance - Discounted or free food - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Work Location: In person
