Summary

Scope and Impact of Job
The work of the Digital Editor will have an impact on K-9 education by helping to bring 21st-century learning products to market. The scope of the work will encompass a wide range of multimedia formats on a variety of platforms and delivery devices available today, and new devices and platforms in the future. The position may also involve assisting the editorial team in all aspects of editing, including researching, fact-checking, rewriting, copy-editing, and proofreading, maintaining trackers, filing electronic and print records, and other administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities
- Be a key participant in sprint meetings with Editors, Designers, Product Managers, and QA leads, working to support new digital products and to implement revisions to existing products
- Update online content in web-based testing environments, following standard operating and workflow procedures and ensuring requests are completed in a timely manner
- Planning, documenting, and communicating processes in collaboration with others
- Ensure products meet high QA standards
- Follow current trends and research on innovations and educational technology
- May be asked to support editorial team in all aspects of development

Required Knowledge and Experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Google Drive and Google Docs Editors (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is required.
- Flexibility to work and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, deadline-oriented development environment
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) is required

**Desired Skills**:

- Basic to intermediate knowledge and/or prior experience with content management systems, web content authoring and programming tools/languages, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, MathJAX, MathML
- Familiarity with AODA requirements, WCAG standards
- Familiarity with agile development processes to build digital-first products
