**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a **Trading** **Analyst, East**to join our **East Trading Desk**on a** full-time basis**. This position is core to the Trading desk’s ability to deliver trading results. The role will require a high degree of quantitative analytic skills to identify trading opportunities within the PJM, ISONE, NYISO, MISO and Ontario markets.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE**
- Delivering fundamental analysis of the eastern markets
- Collaborate with traders on trade ideas and the identification of growth opportunities within the eastern power markets
- Conduct valuation on structured transactions in the power and gas markets
- Build pricing models to evaluate risk on complex structured products, and provide ideas on hedging solutions
- Develop analytical tools to help traders conduct business
- Assist in daily management and administration of structured positions
- Work with cross functional teams (Risk, Settlement and Credit groups) on an ad-hoc basis

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following must-have qualifications and experience:

- Strong academic track record in a relevant field (Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Physics) or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in power, natural gas or other related commodity markets is preferred
- Ability to analyze large datasets and understand statistical tests
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Python, SQL and VBA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Self-motivated, curious individual who is keen to tackle complex open-ended problems
