Our Cleaners,

As Canada’s largest residential landlord, CAPREIT prides itself on the cleanliness and smooth operation of our properties. Our Cleaners report directly to the Site Manager and provide essential services to their CAPREIT property. In their role, they ensure that all common areas are spotless, coordinate the property’s waste management and guarantee that our apartments sparkle for our residents.
**This position is a three month Contract role with the possibility of extension. Located at 2480 Gosset Rd, W, Kelowna.**

**A monthly car allowance will be awarded for this role.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Garbage Chute Rooms**
- Remove all debris from garbage chute rooms.
- Mop, sweep and clean all garbage chute room floors.
- Wipe all walls and baseboards.
- Report deficiencies in writing with respect to the garbage chutes, doors, locks, smells and pests, etc.

**Elevators**
- Sweep and clean the interior of all cabs.
- Monitor vandalism and report to the Property Manager.
- Clean all elevator doors, floors and walls
- Clean tracks weekly.

**Lobby and Vestibule**
- Vacuum all weather mats and lobby carpets.
- Mop and sweep floor as required.
- Empty and clean all ashtrays and receptacles.
- Dust and damp wipe all furniture.
- Clean and update directory board.
- Clean all glass doors and windows as required.
- Clean all walls and mirrors.
- Maintain mailroom cleaning and flyer removal.
- All other cleaning requirements.

**Hallways and Stairwells***
- Vacuum all common area carpets.
- Mop and sweep the entire stairwell floors.
- Dust and clean all walls, doorframes and fire cabinets.
- Empty and clean all ashtrays.
- Clean hallway windows.
- Clean all handrails.

**Garage and Airlocks**
- Remove all garbage and sweep where required.
- Vacuum entry mats to building.
- Empty all garbage cans.

**Storage Rooms**
- Remove debris and clean all locker room hallways.

**Laundry Room**
- Wipe down all laundry equipment, tables, countertops, sinks

**Sub Basements**
- Ensure that all garbage bins are kept empty.
- Clean lint traps
- Remove lint and debris from between and behind machines

**Moving Room**
- To be swept and all debris removed.

**Mail Room**
- All mailboxes will be damp wiped daily.
- Clean up the floor of all debris.

**Duty Schedule**
- Monthly on duty schedules to be filled out and submitted to the Property Manager. Vacation requests must be given to and approved by the Property Manager.
- It is a requirement that the staff assume each other's duties and responsibilities during their respective days off or vacation.

**Qualifications**:

- 1 - 3 years janitorial experience
- Excellent cleaning skills
- Attention to detail
- Organized and able to handle multiple projects
